| Funding Assistance – Premier Women’s Knockout Cup (semi-final in Wellington) Club |
Three Kings United premier women are travelling to Wellington to contest the semi-final of the “Knockout Cup” against Wellington Marist on 8 August. The Club does not normally budget for expenditure associated with these trips as we do not know where, if or when our teams might compete. Like the men’s Chatham Cup travel to Dunedin last year, this time it’s our women’s turn to look for financial assistance to get them to Wellington. TKU have secured the cup 3 times over the last 16 years, only Lynn Avon has held the trophy for longer (9 times). Our girls have already beaten Lynn Avon and top of the table Glenfield Rovers on its way to the semi-finals, we believe TKU this year can go all the way. ...
